New Mobile Start app launched by Mazda

The digital age just got a little brighter with the launch of Mazda’s ‘Mobile Start’ app. You can now control your Mazda at the touch of a button on your smartphone, from almost anywhere in the world.

Lost your car in a multi-storey car park? Realised you've forgot to lock your Mazda while you're at work? Well, you'll no longer have to worry, with this new app, available for both iPhone and Android.

Some of the high-tech features include:

Engine start In the depths of the British winter? Want to warm your car up before you get in after work? Not a problem. Just use your phone to keep your engine, and most importantly your heating, ticking over for up to 30 minutes.

It's happened to most of us. That moment of panic when you're convinced that your beloved car's been stolen... only to find it two minutes later parked behind a motorhome. Such moments will soon be a thing of the past. 'Mobile Start' uses GPS to locate your car in seconds.

    Panic alarm

If in the event of an actual theft you still can't locate your car, you can activate the security panic alarm.

    Door lock

Peace of mind can't be overrated. Never again will you have to suffer that all day nagging doubt that you forgot to lock your car. And no having to call breakdown services when you've locked your keys in the car. Just easily unlock your car using your phone.

The app is currently only available as a dealer-installed accessory on the 2016 Mazda6 and 2016 Mazda CX-5 equipped with automatic transmissions. While not yet rolling out to all Mazda m
